On Saturday 16th May I will be running a two hour painting workshops as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks 2020. See the details below:
Using a mix of still life and photographs – either your own or supplied by me – you will learn how to paint a variety of subjects, building to painting a beautiful, large scale sfumato sky/landscape.
Sfumato is the word given to the technique Leonardo da Vinci used to paint the Mona Lisa’s enigmatic and beautiful smile. I use it to describe the kind of skies I paint; intriguing, surprising, stunning. In my workshops I will take you step by step through my techniques so that you will go away with your own sfumato sky and landscape at the end of them– be it a dramatic sunset, a mystical sunrise or simply a beautiful puff-cloud summer sky. The first 2 workshops include most materials and equipment, but a snall charge will be applied for materials after this as your paintings grow in size.
